In Finland the use of X-ray machines is regulated by the Radiation Safety law and statute and is controlled by STUK, the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority. By law it is the entity operating the machines that is responsible for their safe and use whose duty it is to ensure that radiation safety rules are followed and safety levels maintained.
